All drawings were hand drawn on the IOS app Procreate. I used Procreate's soft pastel and 6B pencil function to create the drawings. Additionally, details and shading of each drawing were done using the layer function.

I chose to hand draw most of my drawings with a soft pastel to give a muted, yet joyous and merry feel. Ice cream invokes joy and satisfaction, which are emotions learners of this website would have felt while eating ice cream. Other drawings, like the popsicles were drawn using a 6B pencil, due to greater vibrancy in their colour palette.

For drawings done with the soft pastel tool, the 6B pencil tool was used to outline the drawings afterward for more definition and photo clarity.

Drawings of ice cream scoops were revised to not include cones, as cones became a separate category. I decided to create the cones category as they could be considered a type of ice cream as well. Additionally, I wanted to create a category that was related to a convenient way to eat ice cream.

The categories were named based off learners prior knowledge, regarding how they remember the characteristics of ice creams they have eaten. Characteristics include their price, taste, texture, shape and so forth.
